Brand research looks at the way in which customers view your brand. It can also help you understand how people view your brand versus competitors.

Typical approaches that we would use would be inviting customers or prospects to choose words that they would use to describe your brand. Using this approach we try to find common themes that let you understand your brand from the point of view of your customers. You can then use this information in advertising, marketing, internally etc. to maintain consistency and win more customers.

You can also explore areas that your brand could and should not extend into.

Mistakes that people often make when composing questions to understand views of their brand are to provide too small a set of choices of words to describe the brand. Are you trying to understand the answer or are you feeding a pre-determined answer?
